Spice Temple Melbourne is a part of the Rockpool Group of restaurants, which is bound by a commitment to the finest sustainable produce, world-class service, a progressive approach to food and creating memorable experiences for guests.

“We are proud and honoured to be Australia’s most awarded restaurant group with 15 Good Food Guide Chefs’ Hats across seven restaurants, and all named in Gourmet Traveller’s Top 50 Restaurant list.” Neil Perry AM.

Spice Temple Melbourne is one of Australia’s best modern Chinese restaurants, located next to Rockpool Bar & Grill, on Crown Melbourne’s popular riverside promenade.

The culinary focus here is regional China and the different provinces of Sichuan, Yunnan, Hunan, Jiangxi, Guangxi and Xinjiang.

Spice Temple Melbourne’s unique and truly special dishes are driven by Neil Perry’s long fostered passion for Asian cuisine, and will delight the senses with their contrasting tastes and textures.

There is chilli for chilli lovers, or subtle flavours for guests wanting a more mild experience.

Spread over two levels, the dining spaces are warm and dramatically lit which creates both an intimate and relaxed atmosphere with just a touch of the subtle influences of the exotic street hawker food markets in China.

Spice Temple Melbourne’s a la carte menu is designed to be shared and enjoyed banquet style, and suitable for groups of up to 12 guests.

If your group is 12 guests or more, Neil Perry and Head Chef Ben Pollard have specially created the banquet menus.

They are flexible to suit all palates and showcase some of the most popular dishes that Spice Temple Melbourne has to offer.

Spice Temple Melbourne has a concise wine list of 100 wines, a cocktail menu featuring 12 superbly crafted drinks based around the Chinese zodiac, a full bar of spirits and a selection of local and imported bottled beers.

We recommend pre-selecting wines for larger groups to avoid disappointment of availability and we will be happy to liaise with you regarding your beverage choices.

Spice Temple Melbourne’s two elegant private dining rooms are exclusively separate from the main dining area and are perfectly suited for small and intimate dining experiences.
For larger groups, the restaurant can also cater for up to 70 guests in the semi-private 9 Dragons Dining Room.

The Nu Wa Room is located downstairs from the entrance to Spice Temple, separated from the main dining room.
The privacy and calmness of this room is perfect for a business lunch, a client dinner or an intimate family occasion.
