Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne is one of Melbourne’s best restaurants, located in the heart of Crown’s premium dining precinct.

It uniquely combines an impressive dining room, complete with a dramatic open kitchen and wood fire grill, with a contemporary menu featuring the finest and freshest ingredients.

Neil Perry and Head Chef Zac Nicholson make beef the showcase with up to 18 different cuts available from grass fed, grain fed and David Blackmore’s Full Blood Wagyu, all dry aged on premise.

Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne’s private dining room and terrace area, with elegant interiors and superb views over the Yarra River and city skyline, are some of Melbourne’s most impressive locations for private dining occasions.


The full a la carte menu is updated daily to include the freshest produce available and can be arranged for groups of up to 14 guests whilst accommodated in the privacy of our private rooms.

For groups of more than 14 guests, a set menu will be required.

A selection of canapés can also be arranged on arrival to enjoy with pre lunch or dinner drinks.

We have the ability to be flexible with our menus and are happy to alter or expand them to suit your tastes and preferences.


Rockpool Bar & Grill Melbourne has an extensive wine list with over 1200 wines, a full bar of spirits and a selection of bottled beers. Our Sommelier team can guide your beverage selection for a unique experience or pair with the distinctive Rockpool Bar & Grill menu.


Named after the amazing prize bull whose portrait adorns the wall, the Highland Dining Room is situated at the western end of the riverside dining area, with views over the promenade and the Yarra River.

This fully enclosed space can seat a maximum of 34 guests over four tables or 30 guests over two tables.


For smaller groups, the Highland Dining Room can be split and booked separately depending on availability. With glass doors dividing the room into two spaces, the Interior Highland Dining Room can be booked for reservations of up to 16 guests.

The room has an intimate, classic feel with high ceilings, an impressive contemporary chandelier and a large boardroom style table that stretches the length of the room and provides comfort and style.


The Private Terrace is the other half of The Highland Dining Room. Due to the triangular shape of the room, we can accommodate up to 22 guests over two tables or up to 16 guests on one.
It has floor-to-ceiling glass windows on two sides of the room so other guests of the restaurant may be visible but the area does have its own private entrance for the comfort and privacy of your guests.

It has the added space available for arrival canapés and Champagne amidst the backdrop of Southbank.


The Terrace is an annexure of the main dining room that overlooks the Yarra River and city skyline.

Vertical glass windows enable the room to be opened when the weather suits, creating an air-conditioned indoor/outdoor space.

With exclusive use, this area of the restaurant seats up to 50 guests.

As The Terrace is a section of our main dining room, it is not completely private and for the comfort of all of our guests, we are unable to accommodate stand-up drinks and canapé service, or presentations and speeches.
